The much-anticipated expansion of the Chairman’s Club at Wynn Palace’s Cotai casino resort in Macau has been officially announced to open just in time for the bustling Chinese New Year period. This development comes after receiving all necessary approvals, as confirmed by Craig Billings, the chairman and chief executive of Wynn Resorts Ltd.
The company, well-known for operating prominent casino ventures such as Wynn Macau Ltd, is gearing up to offer its premium clientele a top-tier gaming experience coupled with exclusive amenities.
"This is a significant expansion of the Chairman’s Club," stated Mr. Billings, emphasizing the dedication to their "highest-value customers." The revamped space now spans nearly 100,000 square feet, tripling its original size. This lavish area not only caters to high-stakes gaming but also includes a cigar lounge, multiple boutique food and beverage options, and captivating entertainment sections.
Wynn Palace aims to set a new standard for premium gaming venues in Macau, offering a plush yet welcoming environment during a peak business season that aligns perfectly with the traditional festivities. Mr. Billings highlighted that the "booking pace" for the New Year is robust, creating a buzz of excitement for returning patrons eager to explore this newly enhanced luxury segment.
Beyond the expansion, Wynn Macau Ltd is also refreshing the Wynn Tower rooms, providing a comprehensive upgrade plan that strengthens its appeal to affluent guests. The fourth-quarter earnings conference call saw Mr. Billings delve into the financial intricacies of the group’s Macau operations, revealing a significant volume growth but noting unusually low VIP hold impacted earnings.
Despite this, Wynn Resorts delivered a solid EBITDA, with expectations of continued robust market performance in 2026 as recovery momentum in Macau builds. The firm is also wisely leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance fiscal strategies, particularly in customer engagement and reinvestment. The projected capital expenditure for Macau in 2026 remains significant, showcasing the firm’s commitment to sustainable growth and excellence in service.
