Raymond Voon Resigns from Sands China, Shift in Leadership

Raymond Voon has recently stepped down from his position as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of marketing strategy and loyalty at Sands China Ltd, a major casino operator in Macau. Mr. Voon's departure marks a significant shift within the company as he had been a pivotal figure since his joining in November of the previous year.

His role is set to be taken over by Philip Lam, the company's current SVP of market development, according to an internal memo acquired by GGRAsia. Lam, who first joined Sands China in 2010, comes with a robust background in marketing, market development, and analytics, making him a fitting candidate to oversee the loyalty marketing aspect.

Contributions and New Appointments

Under Mr. Voon's leadership, Sands China's marketing and loyalty team navigated a highly competitive marketplace. His tenure, beginning in the fourth quarter of 2025, was marked by 'many positive contributions to the company,' with Sands China expressing gratitude for his dedication and service.

Mr. Voon's prior experience at Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd, where he served as a corporate SVP of customer services, underscores his expertise in the industry. The transition to Philip Lam aims to sustain and build upon the initiatives launched during Mr. Voon's leadership.

Strengthening Market Integration

Philip Lam's appointment is part of a strategic move to bolster the integration of Sands China's marketing operations. In a statement, the company's management highlighted that these organizational changes are designed to 'capitalize on the company’s leadership expertise, enabling us to respond more effectively to evolving market dynamics across all player segments.' Reporting in his new role to COO Hubert Wang, Lam will continue to manage Asia and non-Asia market development along with slot market development.

Additionally, property market development teams led by Winby Wong, Eddie Lou, and Susana Veloso will also report to Hubert Wang, ensuring cohesion and a holistic approach towards marketing efforts. This strategic restructuring reflects Sands China's intent to adapt to the rapidly changing demands of the gaming and entertainment sectors.
